Landscape Trust Eventbrite PageA walk through the Silverdale, exploring the sites of the historic wells and springs.
We're taking a walk through Silverdale exploring the historic wells and springs of the area.
This route is of moderate difficulty, using paths with uneven ground, inclines and stiles. The walk will last for approx. 2-3 hours and there will be an opportunity to break for lunch. The route can be undertaken from Silverdale Railway Station - let us know if you're arriving by train.
Please bring:
- suitable clothing, including layers and a waterproof jacket
- water / drinks
- food (either snacks for energy or a pack up) - and remember to have a big breakfast!
- sunscreen (if sunny)
- walking boots
- spare socks (just in case)
- a phone
- walking poles (if usually used)
We ask that you don't bring dogs as we're walking through some areas with grazing cattle.
An e-mail with details about meeting points and other information will be sent out prior to the event. We'd like to encourage as many people as possible to attend using public transport, and can meet people at Silverdale Railway Station if you're unsure how to reach Eaves Wood on foot from the station.
This is a joint Arnside/Silverdale Landscape Trust and Arnside & Silverdale National Landscape event.
This event is free for Landscape Trust members - membership costs just £15 a year. Find out how to sign up here: https://www.arnsidesilverdaleaonb.org.uk/get-involved/landscape-trust/how-to-join/
