The Coldwell Nature reserves, owned and managed by the local Landscape Trust, is a mixed woodland and herb-rich meadow. The site is managed by conservation grazing of cattle and is noted for wild flowers and butterflies. Especially interesting as a link between woodland and grassland habitats.

Lynne Farrell will describe both the existing wildlife and the ongoing enhancement plans.

We will assemble at the Ford Lane entrance (SD 47907 77690, what3words: relaxing.glorified.peanut). If coming by car please use the Gait barrows Nature reserve car park almost opposite (what3words: split.incoming.alike).

We ask that you don't bring dogs.

This is a joint Arnside/Silverdale Landscape Trust and Arnside & Silverdale National Landscape event.

This event is free for Landscape Trust members - membership costs just £15 a year.
